Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract in India. By using the Service you confirm that you meet these requirements. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, a co-operative, or a farmer producer organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

• Your account is identified by a verified Indian mobile number.
• You are responsible for keeping your phone, OTP, and account credentials secure.
• You must use your real identity. Impersonating another person, a brand, or an organisation is not allowed.
• One person may only operate one personal account. Businesses may operate one business account.

You retain ownership of the photos, descriptions, prices, and other content you upload ("Listing Content"). By uploading Listing Content you grant Online Mandi a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, distribute, and promote that content within the Service and in marketing materials directly related to the Service.

All Listing Content must be:

• Accurate. Descriptions, quantities, units, and prices must match the actual item for sale.
• Lawful. Items must be legal to sell, transport, and own under Indian law.
• Original. You must own the photos you upload or have permission to use them.
• Respectful. No hate speech, sexual content, harassment, or threats.

The following may not be listed for sale on Online Mandi:

• Endangered wildlife, exotic animals, or any species protected under the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972.
• Narcotics, illegal drugs, or unregulated medical products.
• Weapons, ammunition, and explosives.
• Counterfeit goods or items that infringe trademarks or copyrights.
• Adulterated food products or expired agricultural inputs.
• Human body parts, stolen goods, or government-restricted items.

We reserve the right to remove any listing at our discretion if we believe it violates these Terms or applicable law.

Online Mandi is a discovery and communication platform that only connects buyers and sellers. We do not own, sell, ship, warehouse, or insure any of the goods listed by users. We do not act as an intermediary, agent, broker, or escrow service in any transaction. All transactions, payments, deliveries, and after-sale arrangements happen directly between the buyer and the seller, outside of the platform.

Users are solely responsible for verifying the authenticity of buyers, sellers, products, prices, quantities, quality, and payment details before completing any transaction. Online Mandi does not guarantee or warrant the legitimacy, accuracy, or quality of any listing, user, or transaction. We shall not be liable for any loss of money, fraud, scams, misrepresentation, non-delivery, defective goods, identity theft, or damages — direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or otherwise — arising from the purchase, sale, exchange, or transfer of funds between users. Please exercise caution and perform your own due diligence before making any payment or completing any transaction.

We strongly recommend:

• Inspecting goods in person or via video call before paying.
• Using a verified UPI handle or bank account number — never share OTPs, PINs, or passwords.
• Agreeing on transport, packaging, and refund terms in writing (via the in-app chat) before paying.
• Confirming receipt of payment in your own bank account before handing over goods — never rely on a screenshot alone.
• Reporting any suspicious behaviour to support immediately.

Browsing, listing, chatting, and contacting sellers are free of charge. We do not currently charge any listing fees, commissions, or subscription fees. If we ever introduce paid features (for example, promoted listings), they will be clearly labelled and entirely optional.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, copy, or republish listings or user data without permission.
• Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk messages, spam, or phishing attempts.
• Attempt to break, disable, or interfere with the Service or its security.
• Use bots, automated scripts, or fake accounts.
• Harass, threaten, or defraud other users.

If you have a dispute with another user — for example, an undelivered item or a price disagreement — please attempt to resolve it directly. Online Mandi may assist by sharing chat records or contact details with law-enforcement on a legitimate request, but we are not a party to your transactions and are not obligated to mediate. We may suspend accounts found to be repeatedly involved in confirmed disputes.

We may suspend or close any account that violates these Terms, repeatedly receives complaints, or otherwise harms the platform. You may delete your own account at any time from the in-app delete account page; we will remove your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that listings are accurate, sellers are reliable, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Online Mandi disclaims all warranties, express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Online Mandi and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any direct damages will not exceed five hundred Indian rupees (₹500).

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app and on the website. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
