1Information We Collect

Phone Number: Used for account creation, OTP verification, and to let buyers contact you about your listings.
Profile Details: Full name, bio, profile photo, and location name you choose to share.
Listing Content: Titles, descriptions, prices, images, and contact details you upload for your listings.
Chat Messages: Messages exchanged between buyers and sellers within the app.

2How We Use Your Information

To verify your identity using OTP.
To display your listings to potential buyers.
To enable real-time chat between buyers and sellers.
To improve the app and fix issues.
To send you important updates about your account.

3Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Information you publish in listings (title, images, price, phone number) is visible to all users by design — this is how buyers find and contact you. Chat conversations are visible only to the participants.

4Third-Party Services

We use Firebase (by Google) for OTP verification. Firebase temporarily processes your phone number to send the OTP SMS and verify the code you enter.

5Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on our servers. We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS) for all data transmitted between your device and our servers. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

6Your Rights

Access & Update: View and edit your profile at any time.
Delete Listings: Delete any listing you created.
Delete Account: Permanently delete your account and all associated data.

7Platform Role and Marketplace Disclaimer

Online Mandi is a discovery and communication platform that only connects buyers and sellers. We do not own, sell, store, ship, or insure any of the goods listed by users. We are not a party to any transaction between users, do not process payments on their behalf, and do not act as an intermediary, agent, broker, or escrow service.

Users are solely responsible for verifying the authenticity of buyers, sellers, products, prices, quantities, quality, and payment details before completing any transaction. We do not guarantee or warrant the legitimacy, accuracy, or quality of any listing, user, or transaction conducted through the platform. We shall not be liable for any loss of money, fraud, scams, misrepresentation, non-delivery, defective goods, identity theft, or damages — direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or otherwise — arising from the purchase, sale, exchange, or transfer of funds between users. Please exercise caution and perform your own due diligence before making any payment or completing any transaction.

Specifically, you acknowledge and agree that:

All payments, delivery arrangements, and after-sale support are handled directly between the buyer and the seller, outside the Online Mandi platform.
Online Mandi does not vet, verify, endorse, or background-check users, nor does it inspect goods listed for sale.
Any disputes arising from a transaction must be resolved directly between the buyer and the seller. Online Mandi may, at its sole discretion, assist with platform-side information requests but is under no obligation to mediate.
You will not hold Online Mandi, its founders, employees, or contractors responsible for any financial loss, emotional distress, legal liability, or other harm resulting from your dealings with other users.

If you suspect any fraudulent activity, please report it immediately on WhatsApp at +91 96275 31130 with the listing URL, the username, and any supporting screenshots so we can investigate and, where appropriate, suspend the offending account.
